Most birthday magic shows are 45 minutes to one hour ... but you can have a longer or shorter show if you desire. Magic shows are best for kids over the age of 4. Yes, we've done shows for 3 year-olds ... but that's more like a goofy-clown-show without the make-up.
For the best birthday party magic show, set up the performance place.
- Turn off background music
- Move the grown-ups to another room if they want to talk
- Have the magic show set up in front of a wall in a low traffic area
- Don't have the magic show near the front door, bathroom or by the food!
- Have chairs for the kids or a soft cushions for the floor.
Help the performer do a good show. It's hard to entertain kids and quiet down a disruptive child at the same time. If you see a disruptive child, help make the show better by stepping in!
Have the magic show scheduled after the meal. Set up a room with adequate lighting that's quiet and not full of distractions. If you've hired an inflatable ride or bouncy castle, deflate it or have the magic show set up far away from it.
