I was thrilled to be photographed with The Amazing James Randi by the bust of Charles Darwin at the New York Academy of Sciences. Not only is Mr. Randi a brilliant thinker, lecturer and magician - he's also one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.

The 5 Worst Magic Acts in History | Fun Lists - Top 10 Lists
No smarty-pants, I'm not on the list. In this article I details five the worst magic acts in history. Now I'm not saying that these individual magicians were bad performers, some of them are actually wonderful of until their final performance. For your consideration, consider the bullet catching magician who catches one in the chest. The coming magician who drops down stage. The escape artist who dared to do the trick the the master mystifier Harry Houdini refused to do.
Hopefully my brethren magicians will not cut me to shreds for this satirical piece. It's all meant in good fun.

In Magician Shows The Magic Way to Reading I show how the hobby of magic can be a great way to encourage kids to read and learn. Magic is such a big, fascinating subject that encompasses history, science, art and human nature. It's full of amazing stories and curious facts that may very well turn that kid who hates to read into a bookworm. Magic is also a great platform for developing social skills (of course if you've ever met a magician I'm sure you'd disagree ... most amateur magicians are nerdy old men with bad toupees and enormous bellies who babble on and on about the most trivial things ... and most professional magicians give make carny folk look like Mormons)

NYC Magicians New York City Magicians for Holiday Parties
That's right. I just recently updated my site to let everyone know that I am now accepting bookings for the December holiday season. If you're planning any type of office party and you're looking for a funny magician to come in and entertain adults and kids, I hope to get in touch.
This year there are lots of company parties going on and people are booking magicians to do walkaround magic. Walkaround magic is one a magician does close-up, or sleight-of-hand tricks tableside or by mingling around the party. Instead of a big stage production, where the audience is expected to sit down and watch the show, a close-up magician can wander around the party and do magic for people right before their eyes.
Typically I'll do a cocktail party and do a number of amazing things like mind reading tricks and illusions with borrowed objects. I make playing cards disappear in magically reappear, money magically transforms and all sorts of other goodies.
Some people think tricks are just for kids, until they see my close-up show. Having a magician at a holiday party is great way to break the ice and get your guest talking to each other, laughing and enjoying the night. It creates a memorable moment and is a great way to add comedy and surprise without spending a lot of money. I hope you'll check out the new site.
